Meet the Team


Jodi is a mom, former Council Member, and nonprofit marketing and development executive. She currently works for Children in Conflict helping change the lives of children living in conflict areas around the world. Murphy served on the Westwood Borough Council and was liaison to the Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, advocating for equipment and resources for the local first responders. She also served on the Shade Tree Committee and Green Team, working to bring awareness to the impact of local decisions on climate change. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Education from NYU and was part of the 2020 Class of Bergen Leads.


Damon is a former Council Member, community volunteer, and elementary school principal. He has been an educator for the past 23 years and currently works in the Bogota Public Schools. Englese received his bachelor’s from Seton Hall University and master’s from St. Peter’s University, and holds licenses as a school business administrator and superintendent of schools. He served on the Dumont Council and during his tenure was Department of Public Works Chair and Police Commissioner. He established a comprehensive road repaving plan, invested in the necessary life-saving tools for first responders, and supported hiring new police officers. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Bergen Community College and is a member of the Joint Land Use Board in Dumont.


John is a chef, small business owner, and restaurant culture advocate. He has grown Caffe Anello from a small coffee shop in Westwood to a regionally recognized café serving some of the finest food in the region. As a career-long chef, he has worked with other culinary leaders to change the culture of restaurants and kitchens as a founding member and leading voice in the Fair Kitchen Movement. Vitale was recognized by the U.S. House of Representatives and awarded the Hometown Hero Award by Rep. Josh Gottheimer for launching the Anello Feeds First Initiative during the Covid-19 pandemic. Throughout New Jersey and District 39, he helped prerogative over 100,000 meals to first responders, healthcare and essential workers, and families in need. A Park Ridge resident, he has continued supporting food security efforts throughout Bergen County.
